Learn as much as you can about wellness by:
-
Going to free wellness-related classes at local health centers or hospitals, or
those offered by community organizations.
-
Reading your BMC HealthNet Plan member newsletter, or other wellness-related
material offered by local health centers, hospitals, or community
organizations.
-
Sharing the cost of a wellness magazine, such as “Prevention”, with a family or
friend.
-
Visiting this Wellness Center regularly for wellness tips and information.
|
Ask a friend or family member to be your
wellness buddy.
Research shows that people who have a friend or family member with whom they
can share nutrition, exercise, or other wellness goals are more likely to reach
those goals.
| Talk to your primary care provider (PCP)
before you begin a new exercise and/or healthy eating
(nutrition) program.
He or she can help you decide what steps are best for reaching your wellness
goals. |
